Manchester United fans turn on Romelu Lukaku after Serie A switch comments

Manchester United fans have quickly turned on Romelu Lukaku after comments emerged on his desire to play in the Serie A.

The Belgian was attacked in a similar manner to Paul Pogba when he flirted with a possible move to Barcelona.

The striker had just endeared supporters by scoring twice for his country but then admitted it’s possible he’d move to Italy in the future.

Lukaku has bagged a respectable four goals in seven starts in the Premier League so far yet has still been criticised this season.

Fans believe it has been a slow start by his standards and while that has been true, there have been worse under performers at the club.

Unfortunately for Romelu his comments have been twisted to look as though he’s asking for a move away from United.

The former Everton man was asked a loaded question in the form of whether he would wish to play with his brother or not.

Lukaku’s sibling plays for Lazio in the Serie A and had answered ‘why not, I hope so’ one day.

He was then asked about the Red Devils prospects against Juventus in the Champions League, making it appear as though the whole interview was just about him asking to leave.
