Antonio Valencia has been working hard in the gym as he continues his return to full fitness ahead of Manchester United’s meeting with AFC Bournemouth on Saturday.
The Ecuadorian has not played for Man United since their 0-0 draw with Valencia at the start of October.
Jose Mourinho later revealed that Valencia had undergone surgery for a problem with his mouth, noting he had trained with the problem for ten days.
“The reason was that he was 10 days without training with a problem,” he said.
“Not an injury but a problem that he had a very complicated surgery on his mouth. And 10 days without training needed a little bit of time to recover some level after that.”
Valencia has posted a video of himself putting in the hard yards in the Carrington gym, implying he is close to making a return.
