Wayne Rooney has been pictured in good spirits training for England at St George’s Park ahead of his farewell appearance against the United States on Thursday.
The 33-year-old, who has scored 12 goals for DC United since joining in July, announced earlier this month that he would make one final appearance for England at Wembley, with all proceeds from the game going to his newly formed charity, the ‘Wayne Rooney Foundation’.
He will only be included against the United States and is set to make his final appearance from the bench, with Gareth Southgate keen to give younger players chances to impress over the last international break until March.
