Manchester United fans were once again let down by their club after drawing 2-2 against relegation candidates Southampton away from home.
Jose Mourinho’s men found themselves 2-0 down in shocking fashion but recovered well enough to secure a point and save a more worse embarrassment.
Unfortunately United couldn’t kick on in the second half to grab a winner and their need for three points becomes even more desperate.
Mourinho had predicted his side would be back in the top four by December so it’s telling that it’s the first of the month and they’re still looking like a mid-table side.
MUFC started by going behind in six of the last eight league games. Lost two of them. The Titanic was quicker to get going.

Absolutely dreadful performance. No desire from the players. Feels like a loss

Man United still have a negative goal-difference. It's been 113 days since the start of the season. #MUFC

Has to be two more points dropped by #mufc, despite dire situation after 30 minutes. Two points from six against Palace and Southampton a dismal return. Didn't go for it enough in second-half.

Another dreadful and listless performance from Manchester United. It is December and they have a minus goal difference. Embarrassing against the 19th best side in the Premier League #mufc

Currently sitting in seventh place, the Red Devils find themselves at risk of even failing to qualify for European football at all this season.
The truth is that no part of the club remains blameless for it’s terrible campaign in Mourinho’s third in charge.
The Portuguese manager certainly has flaws but the players have been rightly accused of not showing any fight while the board refuse to truly back the man they hired just a few years back.
