Manchester United supporters are understandably terrified ahead of Wednesday’s meeting with Arsenal following reports claiming Jose Mourinho could be without up to eight defenders for the game.
Mourinho desperately needs three points against a team which, should they record a rare victory at Old Trafford, would go eight points clear of Man United in fourth.
Supporters are, understandably, extremely pessimistic about their side’s chances on Wednesday, with some even predicting a reversal of the 8-2 scoreline Sir Alex Ferguson‘s side inflicted on the Gunners in 2011.
Man Utd have been without any defenders for 4 years now….

Would not be surprised to see a reverse of the 8-2 https://t.co/oPWsJVFtJ7

Many Arsenal fans, however, have not reacted to the news with unfettered joy. Several have emphasised that their team travelled to Old Trafford under similar circumstances in 2015, with their players bang in form and Louis van Gaal forced to pick a skeleton of a team, only to lose the game, 3-2. Their team has a record of not winning when they are expected to.
We'll still somehow lose because it's at old trafford https://t.co/CDLaqc0uAs

With all that said, Arsenal are overwhelming favourites on Wednesday. Several supporters responded to this news by stressing United will need a ‘Mourinho Masterclass’ to win. They are absolutely right.
