Zlatan Ibrahimovic: I felt like I wanted to give everything for Jose Mourinho

Former Manchester United star Zlatan Ibrahimovic has provided fans with an insight into how Jose Mourinho is as a manager and so in turn a potential look into the current state of the dressing room.

The Swede joined the club almost exclusively for the Portuguese boss and repaid his faith in full after almost two seasons at Old Trafford.

Unfortunately the striker was badly injured at the end of the first campaign but recovered enough to be re-signed in the second.

Ibrahimovic would soon depart to the MLS but certainly left his mark in United’s history books albeit being a small or short one.

The pair have since had nothing but kind words to say about each other so there was no real surprise when reports emerged about the former PSG man being considered to sign for a third time.

According to The Express, Ibrahimovic recalls what Jose was like: “Go out there like hungry lions, like warriors.

“In the first battle like this [pounding his fist against his palm].

“And in the second like this [he kicked the flip chart and sent it flying across the room].”

“The adrenaline pumped inside us and we felt like rabid animals.

“I felt like this guy gives everything for the team, so I wanted to give everything for him.”

United came out flying in their recent clash against Fulham and Ibrahimovic’s words could explain just why they were so fired up.

Of course fans would be a little baffled as to why that hasn’t happened more often but it would also explain impressive comeback victories such as the one against Newcastle or Juventus.
