Victor Lindelof proves he’s Manchester United’s best defender

by Marwan Harraz

Manchester United star Victor Lindelof has proven he’s the club’s best centre-back in recent games under new manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The Swede has benefitted from a run of games in the starting XI, consistently putting in top performances just as he did towards the end of Jose Mourinho’s tenure.

Lindelof deservedly kept his first clean-sheet in Solskjaer’s reign and will be hoping plenty more to come as United bid to reach the top four spots in the Premier League.

Though the club have been scoring for fun during the Norwegian’s time as manager, the leaky defence remained an issue until the 2-0 win over Newcastle.

Victor may have had a shaky start to his career with the Red Devils but if he can keep up his performances there’s no reason why he can’t grow into a top player.

Though his tackles won percentage is impressive, the passing accuracy is even more so, showing just how well Lindelof is on the ball.

The former Benfica man isn’t a safe passer either so it’s a testament to his ability to help his side unlock stubborn opposition defences. The two chances created is proof of that.

More impressive than both of those stats is just how many aerial duels he won with Newcastle’s Salomon Rondon a handful for any centre-back.
