Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku will start Manchester United’s FA Cup third round clash with Reading at Old Trafford this weekend.
The pair, both miserably out of form under Jose Mourinho, enjoyed the ideal return to action during Man United’s 2-0 win over Newcastle United.
Lukaku scored just 38 seconds after coming on, while Alexis provided a splendid assist for Marcus Rashford to kill the game.
Solskjaer noted that the pair would both get a chance to impress from the start against the Championship side.

Lukaku and Alexis have for some time resembled symptoms of the attacking inertia which developed at United under the previous arrangement, their popularity among supporters dwindling as a result, but the win at Newcastle served as a turned corner in many ways.
The Belgian, for one, has the same number of goals as the ‘brilliant’ Roberto Firmino this season, and looks like he can score from every attack all of a sudden. Sanchez, on the other hand, demonstrated a level of connection with his teammates rarely seen under Mourinho for Marcus Rashford’s goal at St James’ Park.
They have the chance to demonstrate even more emphatically what they can do for 90 minutes in front of the United faithful on Saturday.
