Ole Gunnar Solskjaer: Manchester United need to improve ahead of Tottenham clash

by Marwan Harraz

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has warned his players following the 2-0 victory over Reading in the FA Cup that they will need to improve to beat Tottenham.

The Norwegian has taken his players to Dubai for some warm weather training ahead of their visit to Wembley next week.

Fans will be hoping a much needed break from matches coupled with the intense training they will do abroad will help United overcome their first real test under Solskjaer.

The former Molde manager has seen his side win all five games in his short reign but will know it’s clashes such as these that will make or break his potential career.

The Red Devils are chasing a spot in the top four this season and will need to beat the likes of Tottenham if they hope to do so.

It’s clear Ole has the same concerns as his predecessors in the sense that the defence is a worry and he’ll be hoping to address it over the coming week.

Supporters appeared to be more concerned with their midfield against Reading rather than anything else as they continuously lost possession to a Championship side.

Either way there’s plenty of work that needs to be done especially after the initial burst of positivity that came with Solskjaer’s appointment has been waning.
