Ole Gunnar Solskjaer: Marcus Rashford and Victor Lindelof absent through injury

by Marwan Harraz

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has explained to fans why Marcus Rashford and Victor Lindelof were absent from the starting XI vs Fulham.

The two stars have been crucial in the Norwegian’s reign so far but didn’t feature in the 3-0 away victory.

Anthony Martial and a Paul Pogba brace ensured United supporters wouldn’t miss Rashford or Lindelof but there’s hope they will feature in the upcoming clash against PSG.

Many fans believed the duo would be rested but Solskjaer has revealed there’s a little more to it than just that.

The Red Devils also have to face Chelsea and Liverpool right after the PSG game in a thoroughly challenging fixture list.

It’s believed both Marcus and Victor will be fit for the Champions League tie and hopefully they’ll be able to keep up their good form.

The Swede’s performances have seen him quickly rise up to being the club’s best option in the centre-back position.

It’s a credit to his performances that fans are now looking for a top centre-back to play alongside him rather than replace him.

Meanwhile Rashford’s form has been so good that last season’s top goalscorer in Romelu Lukaku has hardly had a sniff of first-team action.
