Manchester United offer fresh terms to David de Gea: report

by Marwan Harraz

Manchester United have reportedly offered David de Gea fresh terms as his contract continues to see no end.

The Spaniard and the club’s board can’t seem to see eye to eye as they’ve been negotiating his terms for quite some time.

Even the likes of Anthony Martial and Luke Shaw had to wait a while before their own contract renewals could be confirmed.

The United board’s incompetency has seen several of their stars enter the final year of their respective contracts.

De Gea’s initial deal saw his time end this summer though his one year extension clause is said to have been triggered.

According to the Mirror, the Times report that the Red Devils wish to make David the league’s best player by offering him around £365k a week in a bid to convince him to extend his stay.

The world-class goalkeeper is largely seen as the best player of the current squad with the likes of Paul Pogba closely behind.

It makes sense to reward him with the most money especially as the club would be tying him down for the best years of his career.

De Gea has also shown fantastic loyalty since his move to Real Madrid infamously broke down several summers ago.
