Ole Gunnar Solskjaer: Comeback win vs PSG not impossible

by Marwan Harraz

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insists securing a comeback win vs PSG will be difficult but not impossible.

The Norwegian was disappointed to see his players succumb to a 2-0 loss at home in the first leg and unfortunately will be missing many of his key first-team stars for the second leg in Paris.

Yet Solskjaer remains optimistic and has named eight academy products in his travelling squad.

Fans themselves are also hopeful of an upset, which is a credit to the former Molde man’s work in his short reign so far.

United will have to conjure up something special but an early goal could cause PSG to feel nervous and fall apart.

The home crowd will likely fall silent as well, particularly since PSG previously fell apart against Barcelona despite holding a commanding first leg lead in recent history.

There’s a growing fear amongst the French club’s fans that they’ll never get to win the Champions League and that they’re just cursed.

Solskjaer has previously come up with fantastic tactics for his team away from home as he managed to overcome Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham all in their home stadiums.

However, it’s normally due to playing on the counter-attack, while at PSG the Red Devils will need to take the initiative since they’re already losing.
