Manchester United join race to sign PSG’s Adrien Rabiot: report

by Marwan Harraz

Manchester United have reportedly joined the race to sign PSG star Adrien Rabiot as they prepare for a summer overhaul of the squad.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is widely believed to be the inevitable manager of the club next season though the announcement hasn’t been officially made just yet.

The Norwegian is said to have four positions in mind for the summer with the full-back, right-wing and attacking-midfield positions all his main targets.

However, given how Ander Herrera‘s contract is set to expire in the upcoming transfer window, it seems United are preparing for the worse.

The Spaniard has been in incredible form since Solskjaer’s arrival but he’s yet to accept terms with the club on an extension.

According to Sports Mole, the Sun report that the Red Devils are keen on signing Rabiot for free this summer who is looking for £200k a week in wages from his next club.

Given how the club would be signing a younger player for free in replacement of the older Herrera, they won’t be concerned if he attempts to force their hand.

It’s unlikely Ole wants to get rid of the midfielder however, given how well he’s played as well as how perfectly he fits the current system.
