The Ivorian has struggled to make a real impact under the Norwegian but given the amount of players currently out for the club, he is needed.
Injuries have riddled the former Villareal man’s career at Old Trafford so far but there’s hope he can turn things around.
Eric was initially signed in the hopes that he could form a formidable partnership with Lindelof that would last for the next decade.

There has been plenty of talk of Manchester United signing a top centre-back to partner Victor in defence with some reports claiming Bailly will be the man moved on.
However, it’s more likely that Marcos Rojo will be sold instead given the lack of minutes he’s had, particularly since his horrible injury in the Europa League final.
Nonetheless, time is running out for Eric to make an impact and suffering an injury ahead of the season run-in is not the ideal time to go missing for his side.
