Barcelona to raid Manchester United for Marcus Rashford: report

by Marwan Harraz

Barcelona are set to raid Manchester United for their key attacker Marcus Rashford according to reports.

The Englishman has been central to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s success so far and it’s believed he is the future of the club’s attack.

United also employ Anthony Martial and Romelu Lukaku but Rashford’s dynamism and pace has been preferred so far.

The academy product is currently in negotiations over a contract renewal but it’s said there has been some stagnation over the progress.

The Spanish side are keen on taking advantage the situation and are believed to have made the youngster one of the three players on their wish-list for the summer.

According to the Mirror, Mundo Deportivo report that Barcelona will test the Red Devils’ resolve by making a move for Marcus in a deal that could cost £100m.

That is quite a tempting number but fans aren’t concerned of losing the versatile attacker as many feel he has no interest in playing elsewhere.

It’s also worth pointing out that even if Manchester United sold him for that number, they would need to reinvest all of it, if not more on getting in a top replacement.

Nonetheless, an extension for Rashford should be tied up as soon as possible to avoid it becoming a distraction.
