Juventus star Douglas Costa will reportedly cost Manchester United just £45m as they gear up for a summer overhaul.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is said to be after a right-winger amongst other positions so it makes sense he would target the Brazilian.
Costa is one of the more senior options United are believed to be considering as Jadon Sancho and Callum Hudson-Odoi were also on their shortlist.
A true natural right-winger is needed and £45m is no longer considered to be an over-the-top fee in today’s market.
According to the Metro, the Mirror report that Douglas’ asking price has been set at £45m with the Red Devils, Chelsea, Tottenham and PSG all battling it out for his signature.
With several clubs said to be chasing him, that could actually end up starting a bidding war that would see the above price rise.
Manchester United are believed to be more interested in investing in more youthful options in general so it’s doubtful they would truly go for Costa.
The price-tag though might be too tempting to pass up on despite his terrible form for Juventus this season.
