Manchester United aiming to sign two Portuguese stars: report

by Marwan Harraz

Manchester United reportedly aiming to sign two Portuguese stars quickly ahead of a competitive summer transfer window.

Many top European clubs are already hunting for signings with the likes of Bayern Munich already completing a move for Lucas Hernandez.

United have a big task ahead of them whether or not they qualify for next season’s edition of the Champions League.

Of course missing out on Europe will dent Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s wishes to transform his side as soon as possible.

Perhaps in a bid to beat the competition, the Norwegian already has two targets he wants his club to sign swiftly.

According to the Evening Standard, the Red Devils are hoping to sign Joao Felix and Bruno Fernandes quickly for a potentially combined fee of £150m as they step up their efforts for the summer.

The Portuguese duo would certainly take up a chunk of Solskjaer’s budget but it’s already been reported he’s only looking for four signings.

It’s believed he has close to £250m to spend which will mean he’ll have £100m leftover on whichever two players he wants.

Spending so much on two youngsters though could end up backfiring despite the limitless potential of Felix.

Fernandes is a relatively untested player as well and so it would be a gamble on Ole’s behalf.
