Manchester United ‘begin preliminary talks’ with Paulo Dybala: report

by Marwan Harraz

Manchester United have reportedly began preliminary talks with Juventus star Paulo Dybala as they attempt a squad overhaul this summer.

The Argentine would certainly add quality to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side but it was previously thought that signing him would be impossible.

In Italy the versatile attacker is almost guaranteed trophies but his lack of minutes of late has seen him become unsettled.

United will need Dybala more than ever if the rumours of Paul Pogba’s potential departure prove to be true.

Solskjaer has been previously reported to be interested in signing an attacking-midfielder so it does make sense the 25 year old has been targeted.

According to Calcio Mercato, the Red Devils are keen to pounce on Paulo’s difficult situation at Juventus and hope to give him a starring role in their rebuild, though they will have to fight off Bayern Munich’s interest.

The German giant will have more to offer the former Palermo man but Ole could still convince him.

Manchester United can probably offer Dybala higher wages but arguably more importantly, they could almost guarantee him regular minutes.

There’s currently no one in Solskjaer’s squad who could truly challenge the Juventus star’s spot in the starting XI should he decide to move to Old Trafford.
