Manchester United stars face more heartbreak after top four failure: report

by Marwan Harraz

Manchester United’s stars are reportedly set to face even more heartbreak after missing out on a spot in the top four due to their draw with Huddersfield.

Despite Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men suffering a dip in form, many expected a routine win against their already relegated opponents but unfortunately that wasn’t the case.

Scott McTominay kicked things off well for United, scoring an early goal to make matters comfortable but a defensive error allowed Huddersfield back into the match.

Solskjaer watched on helplessly as his stars missed chance after chance, resulting in the 1-1 draw that made it mathematically impossible to qualify for next season’s edition of the Champions League.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, the current crop of players are now in for some bad news with some already reportedly considering their future.

According to the Daily Mirror, the Red Devils’ stars will suffer a pay cut of 25% after failing to qualify for next season’s edition of the Champions League.

A quarter of their salaries gone is quite the chunk of cash which could see some players push even harder to depart Old Trafford.

Ole’s task of a rebuild has been made even more difficult now but at least he’ll know which of his players are loyal and which aren’t.
