Manchester United chase Ajax star David Neres: report

by Marwan Harraz

Manchester United are reportedly chasing Ajax star David Neres as they push their summer overhaul into motion.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is said to be keen on investing the right-wing position and so it makes sense to target the Brazilian.

After the Dutch side’s heroic performances in the Champions League this season, there was always the feeling they would be stripped apart by Europe’s richest clubs.

Neres would represent the ideal signing as he’s young, potentially cheap and can still grow in terms of his ability.

Unfortunately for United there appears to be several interested parties and so a deal may not be so straightforward.

According to the Daily Star, Euro United report that the Red Devils have made a contract offer to David but face plenty of competition from the likes PSG, Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich to wrap up the deal.

Solskjaer’s side’s best chance to win this race is to try to seal the transfer quickly and not give other sides an opportunity to even begin negotiations.

However, Manchester United fans will know based on past experienced that their board aren’t as organised as that and they will likely miss out on Neres due to being slow to act.
