Manchester United fans have overall reacted rather positively to Romelu Lukaku’s flirtatious message to Inter Milan amid uncertainty over his future.
The Belgian has previously admitted to a desire to play in Italy and he’s now claimed recently appointed Antonio Conte is the best manager in the world.
Lukaku’s incredible goalscoring record with his country has continued, leading many to feel his problems are simply with United.
The reason for the striker’s sudden rumoured potential departure is said to be due to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s preference for Marcus Rashford.
Romelu has had to play second fiddle to the youngster so far and it’s clear he’s not happy with his current situation at all.
Lukaku is the personification of #MUFC’s old disjointed strategy. Bought for a manager, not a club philosophy. Departure would be significant part of the transition to a coherent plan, started by Ole & continued by a DoF. Good striker, but doesn’t fit the intended style of play.

If Lukaku does leave then the Red Devils will definitely miss his goals and so Solskjaer will have to replace him adequately.
Rashford isn’t nearly as clinical and perhaps his age means he’s still inconsistent so goals will be needed.
Anthony Martial is certainly the most deadly player in front of goal but he’s often proved to be a ‘mood’ player.
Not to mention, the Frenchman has also not played consistently as a striker so Ole will have no choice but to invest should Romelu depart.
