There have been complications between Inter Milan and Manchester United regarding Romelu Lukaku which has delayed a transfer according to reports.
It appears the Belgian’s move to Italy will not be a smooth one and that’s largely down between the two sides failing to see eye to eye on the deal.
United were understood to have wanted a cash only offer from Milan but the figure they were asking for was said to be out of reach.
The Serie A side then came back in with an offer involving Ivan Perisic and cash in order to win over those at Old Trafford but that didn’t work either.
If some reports are to be believed, Lukaku has already agreed terms with the Italian giant and the only stumbling block is the two clubs’ agreeing on an evaluation of him.
According to the Mirror, Corriere dello Sport report that Inter have rejected the Red Devils’ interest in signing Milan Skriniar as a part-exchange deal for Romelu.
To be fair to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, it’s a smart move that would kill two birds with one stone but it was unlikely they would ever agree to such a move.
Skriniar would’ve helped resolve Manchester United’s defensive woes while the Norwegian would be offloading a player he’s said to be not such a fan of.
