Real Madrid don’t want long end to Paul Pogba transfer saga: report

by Marwan Harraz

Real Madrid reportedly want to avoid taking too long to conclude a deal for Manchester United star Paul Pogba as the summer’s biggest transfer saga drags on.

The Frenchman is keen on moving to the Spanish capital but it’s understood Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side don’t want to sell.

The midfielder has been a target of Zinedine Zidane’s for a few months now and admitted a transfer to Madrid would be a dream.

United are adamant they won’t sell their star player but some reports claim they will accept a £150m bid despite the La Liga side already spending around £250m on their transfers this summer.

Pogba’s talent is certainly one that doesn’t deserve to be wasted in the Europa League but there was hope he would be the face of Solskjaer’s rebuild.

According to the Express, ABC report that Real want to conclude a deal for Paul in July or at the latest the first few days of August, long before the Spanish transfer window ends.

The Red Devils probably want a swift conclusion as well in order to bring in a replacement and possible spend the rest of the funds on other targets.

However, it would definitely all depend on how serious Madrid are about signing Pogba and whether they’ll meet his asking price.
