Crystal Palace have reportedly told Manchester United they would need to part with £50m if they hope to succeed in their chase for Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s signature.
The youngster has been a target of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s for quite some time and it’s understandable given his form over the past season.
In what has essentially been the Englishman’s breakthrough season he has put in remarkable shifts that have shown experience beyond his years.
United’s leaky defence has desperately needed improvement so it makes sense for Solskjaer to target Wan-Bissaka given his success so far.
Palace know what a gem the 21 year old is and so are holding out for the best offer at a time where they’re not in desperate need for cash.
According to the Daily Mail, Crystal Palace have been unimpressed by the Red Devils’ previous bids so far and have demanded £45m plus £5m in add-ons to complete Aaron’s transfer.
The London club are also in a strong position given how his contract doesn’t end for another three years and so they’re under no pressure to sell.
Roy Hodgson had admitted from the start that he would not hold back the sale of any of his players but that he will only sell if the right offer is made and that certainly seems to be the case.
