Manchester United turn attentions to Elseid Hysaj after Aaron Wan-Bissaka rejection

Manchester United are reportedly interested in Napoli star Elseid Hysaj after becoming frustrated with Crystal Palace’s evaluation of Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been keen on the youngster for quite some time now and yet a transfer hasn’t materialised despite multiple bids.

The Englishman is tipped to have a bright future after an impressive breakthrough season for Palace which sparked United’s interest in the first place.

Meanwhile, this isn’t the first time Hysaj has been linked with a move to Old Trafford as he’s always been seen as a back-up bargain should they not get their main target.

Given the difficulty in concluding a deal for Wan-Bissaka, it makes sense for Solskjaer to move on if the fee has started to become ridiculous.

According to the Mirror, the Red Devils rejected £50m bid for Aaron saw them approach Elseid instead as an alternative signing, though they’ll have to fight off Atletico Madrid who are also interested.

Ole needs to break the trend of the club being taken for a ride by other sides who know that they have the finances.

Too often Manchester United have overpaid and undersold in the transfer market so denying Palace may be the smarter move in the long run.
