David de Gea offered £350k a week deal to stay at Manchester United

Manchester United star David de Gea will reportedly be offered a £350k a week deal in order to convince him to remain at the club.

Previous reports linked the Spaniard with a move to PSG following uncertainty over his future as he was said to have been unhappy over negotiations regarding a new contract.

The goalkeeper was believed to be in the driving seat given how his current deal only had a year left to it and so he was said to be using that to his advantage.

De Gea appeared set for an exit after PSG’s Gianluigi Buffon confirmed he was going to leave the Ligue 1 side.

However, the former Atletico Madrid man may yet stay put as United’s latest offer may be too tempting to ignore.

According to the Sun, David will be offered a four year contract with an option to trigger a further year with his wages almost doubling from £200k a week to £350k a week.

It’s baffling the Red Devils would wait so long to make an acceptable offer given how the 28 year old’s uncertain future had so clearly affected his performances.

Fans are unconcerned with what amount De Gea needs to be paid to remain so long as he does since he has been the club’s best player since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement.
