David de Gea offered sensational contract to extend Manchester United stay

by Marwan Harraz

Manchester United have reportedly offered their best player David de Gea a sensational contract in order to extend his stay.

The Spaniard is said to have a year left to his current deal, meaning he’d be free to speak to foreign clubs as early as the start of the next year.

With PSG and Juventus both understood to be lurking about, the goalkeeper seemed to be as close as ever from exiting United.

However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have come roaring back in negotiations and De Gea should remain at the club.

The contract he has been offered is believed to be close to what he initially wanted so that should conclude negotiations quietly.

According to The Times, David will get a pay raise that will see him move from earning £240k a week to £350k a week with the Red Devils offering a five year deal to secure his long-term future.

With his contract sorted, fans will be hoping the former Atletico Madrid star will return to his best form.

De Gea had fallen short of his incredibly high standards during the tail end of the last season as he made a string of errors across different matches with Manchester United ending their campaign in sixth place.
