Agent Mino Raiola makes it clear Paul Pogba wants to leave Manchester United

by Leo Nieboer

Paul Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola has reiterated that his client wants an exit from Manchester United this summer.

The Frenchman, whose stock among Man United supporters plummeted during the last months of the 2018-19 season, announced to reporters in Japan last month that he wanted a ‘new challenge’ after three years at Old Trafford.

Raiola later briefed the media that he was working hard to secure an exit from Man United for Pogba this summer. The club is determined to keep him.

And the agent, once described as a ‘s**t bag’ by Sir Alex Ferguson, has once again declared that he was aiming to secure a ‘satisfying solution’ for his client.

Supporters must have known that United’s decision to jump in bed with Raiola in 2016 and 2017 – four of his clients joined the club in that time – would have backfired miserably.

And with one of those clients, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, already used in a deal which, in hindsight, made no sense for United, it looks as if the same will soon happen with Pogba (and Romelu Lukaku, who wants a move to Italy).

There is a strong chance that by next year, United will have lost Pogba and David de Gea – their two best players by some distance.
