Dutch wonder-kid Matthijs de Ligt has been spotted arriving in Turin as he concludes a move to Juventus, ending the summer’s biggest transfer saga.
The former Ajax star was heavily linked to multiple clubs including the likes of PSG, Barcelona and Manchester United.
It appeared at various points in the summer each side was close to signing him but it is the Italian giants who win this rat race.
PSG were said to have offered him a huge wage package that was too tempting to resist while Barcelona were in for De Ligt from the start.
United entered the race rather late but it did seem momentarily they were genuine favourites as the talented centre-back was said to be intrigued by their project and the guarantee of first-team minutes.

Matthijs has been tipped for an incredible future and it could be argued he made the right choice given the Serie A’s reputation of producing top defenders.
At Juventus he’ll be able to learn from the likes of Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci before eventually replacing either one of them.
With the Red Devils he would’ve been given the chance to revive a sleeping giant and he would’ve been guaranteed a starring role.
