Manchester United fans were rightfully pleased with their side’s convincing win over Leeds United in their second pre-season friendly of the summer.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer once more opted to field two different teams in either half and it proved successful again as they ran out 4-0 winners.
It was the youngsters of the squad who gained the most attention as thee likes of Tahith Chong and Angel Gomes also impressed on top of the aforementioned names.
Solskjaer has consistently insisted he’s delighted with the talent coming through to the club and he’ll be pleased to see them deliver on the pitch as well.
Chong, Gomes, Andreas Pereira have picked up in the second half where Greenwood, Rashford, Pogba did in the first. All three been really good. Quality from Chong in the lead up and to win the penalty.

All six #MUFC goals on Tour 2019 so far have either been scored or assisted by an Academy graduate.

It will be interesting to see which youngsters survive past pre-season in Ole’s squad as he has essentially praised them all.
A win over a Championship side in a pre-season obviously won’t be the deciding factor but their positive performances will certainly help their cases.
Solskjaer has to find the balance of building for the future while working on the present as the upcoming season could end up being his last if he’s not careful.
