Manchester United are reportedly edging towards signing Lazio star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic as it appears a deal is closer than ever to happening.
The powerful Serbian has been consistently linked with a transfer to Old Trafford over the past two season and it seems the saga could be coming to a fruitful end.
Even before the pair left during the past seven months, the club were believed to be keen on adding quality to their engine room with Milinkovic-Savic their apparent number one priority.
Although it was initially believed the box to box midfielder was only going to come in should Paul Pogba depart, that no longer seems to be the case.
According to the Independent, Gazzetta dello Sport report that a €75m offer has been made with Sergej already agreeing terms to a five year deal.
The Red Devils have recently shown their frustrations with false reports surfacing as they believe agents are trying to force moves through for their clients.
This could be the case with Milinkovic-Savic as well since he doesn’t fit Solskjaer’s transfer policy of signing emerging, British talent.
