Manchester United fans react to Axel Tuanzebe’s potential Newcastle loan

by Marwan Harraz

Manchester United fans have reacted angrily to the news of Newcastle’s reported interest in a loan move for Axel Tuanzebe.

The sensational youngster has impressed both during his temporary spell with Aston Villa last season as well as during the club’s pre-season so far.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is also clearly a fan of Tuanzebe, complimenting him publicly with supporters agreeing with the well deserved praise.

There’s a general feeling the English prospect is ready for more first-team football despite the centre-back positions being overstocked at the moment.

Phil Jones, Chris Smalling, Eric Bailly, Marcos Rojo and Victor Lindelof are all the current options with the likes of Harry Maguire and Samuel Umtiti also linked with a move of late.

The Daily Mail tweet suggests United’s move for Maguire could see Newcastle take advantage of the overstocked options by loaning Axel.

It will be interesting to see whether such a move appeals to Solskjaer but fans are clearly sick of sending him on loan and want to see him feature ahead of the likes of Smalling, Jones and Rojo.

Tuanzebe himself has spoken of his belief that he feels he’s ready for first-team football this season so it’s unlikely he’ll be happy to go on another loan spell.
