Ole Gunnar Solskjaer targeting two signings before transfer window ends

by Marwan Harraz

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has reportedly aimed to bring in two more players before the transfer window slams shut this Thursday.

The former striker has already signed three stars in Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Daniel James and Harry Maguire but it appears he’s not quite done yet.

United fans also feel two more signings are needed, mostly a defensive midfielder and a winger or striker depending on what happens with Romelu Lukaku.

However, supporters felt the club will only be able to secure one transfer if any given their slow moving nature.

Executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has seemingly worked on deals one by one rather than making transfers happen simultaneously.

A midfielder and attacker fits reports that claim United are in for Christian Eriksen and Bruno Fernandes as well as Paulo Dybala and Mario Mandzukic.

Just how true the reports are remains to be seen though that should be cleared up soon enough.

Given Nemanja Matic’s shocking performances last season as well as in pre-season, it’s certainly a priority to sign a holding midfielder.

Neither Eriksen nor Fernandes fit those roles so it’ll be interesting to see Solskjaer’s plans for either one of them should they sign for the club.
