Former Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho named Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s three new signings as the players who impressed him most during the 4-0 rout over Chelsea.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Harry Maguire and Daniel James all made their debuts but it was only the first two who featured from the start.
However, the pacy Welshman did use the little time he had coming off the bench superbly well as he grabbed a debut goal to wrap up the win for United.
Mourinho, whose signings had a mixed impact at Old Trafford, was commenting as a pundit and claimed all three players were fantastic.
The Portuguese tactician also praised Victor Lindelof as he and Maguire played superbly to keep a clean sheet.

Alongside Maguire, Lindelof suddenly looked ten times more solid and certainly more confident as the duo dealt with everything Chelsea threw their way.
Hopefully it’s the start of a beautiful partnership as Manchester United will need defensive solidity to have any chance of experiencing a positive season.
It’s clear the attacking players are also enjoying a more solid backline as it allows them to press freely and play further up the pitch.
The only problem for Solskjaer is if any of his first choice defenders become injured, United’s backline quickly looks considerably weaker.
