The sensational youngster enjoyed an impressive summer with fans excited to see his talent continue to progress.
Solskjaer is also clearly a fan of Greenwood, having given him plenty of minutes during United’s unbeaten pre-season.
Greenwood has even more pressure on his shoulders to deliver the goods this campaign after Romelu Lukaku’s sale on transfer deadline day.
Greenwood’s potential is remarkable but he is still very much a raw talent and will need polishing before he’s able to lead the line for Manchester United.
His ability to play with both feet will mean he’s a versatile, unpredictable attacker and the way he produced the goods for Solskjaer from the flanks in pre-season is evidence of that.
There’s no doubt he’ll eventually move into a more central role but for now Greenwood can gain experience in the Premier League as a right-winger.
Fans will have to remain patient should the academy product show spells of inconsistency as it’s just a normal symptom of developing.
