Manchester United youngster Tahith Chong seemingly has some of Europe’s top clubs keeping an eye on him according to his agent.
The sensational Dutchman has caught the eye of fans who enjoyed watching him last season as well as in pre-season.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer seems to be a fan of Chong’s and so it shouldn’t surprise anyone if he features fairly regularly this season.
In truth, the young winger is probably just one injury or one suspension to a first-team player away from featuring in the starting XI.
United’s attack lacks real depth, allowing Solskjaer to tap into his available young prospects with Mason Greenwood another to consider.
According to the Mirror, Chong’s agent Erkan Alkan said: “Tahith does not want to be loaned, but wants to fight for his chance at Manchester United.
“Top clubs from the Bundesliga and La Liga also have him in sight.
“He has done a strong preparation [for the season], in which he has proven to be one of the better attackers of United.”
It almost seems as though his agent is warning United if they don’t give Chong enough match-time, he could move on.
Either way, Angel Gomes, Greenwood and Chong are all some way short of appearing regularly for the first-team.
They’re all talented but very much raw prospects who need smoothing over before being ready to make an impact.
All three must be given time to develop and allowed to make mistakes so it’s up to Solskjaer to time their introductions to the first-team at the right moments in order to avoid hindering them.
