Juventus ready to pounce for Manchester United’s David de Gea

by Marwan Harraz

Juventus are reportedly gearing up a move for Manchester United star David de Gea as they look to conduct yet another outrageous piece of business.

The Italian giants signed former Arsenal man Aaron Ramsey and former PSG star Adrien Rabiot both for free this summer having chased them all last year.

The Serie A side are beginning to gain a reputation for stealing absolute bargains as they use their world class status to unsettle top stars who are close to the ends of their contracts.

De Gea has a year remaining to his deal which would mean foreign clubs can begin negotiating with him officially from January 2020.

However, it’s not uncommon for clubs to let their intentions known early to steal a lead on players and it appears they’ve done so again here.

According to the Mirror, Juventus are in the driving seat to open talks with De Gea in January to sign him for free next summer though there are other clubs such as PSG who are interested as well.

At one point earlier this summer it appeared as though the sensational Spaniard was close to renewing his deal but nothing came of it.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had hinted a contract extension wasn’t far which got fans excited but that has since died down.
