Manchester United fans were thoroughly displeased with the officiating in the clash against Arsenal after both sides shared the spoils.
The disappointing 1-1 draw leaves Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with a lot of work to do to turn the club’s form around.
Though no one is denying Arsenal’s equaliser was wrongfully given by VAR, United fans have wondered why their own side didn’t benefit from the technology.
The Red Devils seemed to play a little too safe for anyone’s liking with many admitting the fixture was boring, turning their attentions towards the poor refereeing.
The ref has been absolutely atrocious.

There have been so many referee calls against United this season. Whether it be a foul, yellow card or an opponent decision not called it is far too many. Today is no different.

I'm on my knees Kevin Friend gets sacked after this game

Even a United-Arsenal game when they are Europa League fodder is too big for Kevin Friend to referee. Been predictably poor.

This referee has been genuinely awful. For both sides.

We can't let the referee out the stadium tonight

Perhaps one incident supporters are pointing out is when there was a handball in the Arsenal box that would’ve resulted in a penalty.
The Manchester United players called for it immediately though the referee was not convinced and VAR didn’t overrule him despite replays showing otherwise.
The referee himself was rather inconsistent with his calls as he failed to rightfully book players on either team.
United need some luck to go their way otherwise they face ending the season out of the European qualification spots entirely.
