Gary Neville explains cause for Manchester United’s current problems

by Marwan Harraz

Manchester United great Gary Neville has finally said what fans have wanted him to for quite some time now as he blames the club’s board for the current woes.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer‘s men have failed to impress since their 4-0 defeat of Chelsea in their first clash of the season.

Since then it’s been a painful time to watch United play as they’ve not only been inconsistent but their football has been bland.

It’s a far cry from Solskjaer’s start to his reign when fans arguably saw the best football being played since Sir Alex Ferguson retired.

Working as a pundit, Neville has spoken publicly about all the managers who’ve been at the helm at Old Trafford but he has somewhat avoided one topic until now.

Manchester United’s owners will probably never sack executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward given he’s the man who has overseen record turnovers for the club almost year after year.

It’s also unlikely Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be sacked as it has become far too embarrassing to do so at this point.

Even if United did sack the legendary Norwegian, it’s difficult to see who would replace him due to a lack of realistic options.
