Manchester United may reportedly have Juventus star Mario Mandzukic at Old Trafford before the January transfer window even opens.
The experienced Croatian has quickly emerged as the club’s main transfer target for the winter window but there are still no guarantees the deal is done.
United’s need for firepower has been evident as they’ve failed to score more than once in a game other than their opening fixture against Chelsea.
Mandzukic will add to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer‘s thin attack but he’ll add something arguably more important which is leadership.
According to the Express, Juventus are willing to let Mandzukic leave to the Red Devils in December so he can adjust to his new surroundings before completing an official transfer in January.
This would obviously mean he won’t be able to play until the transfer window opens to complete the move but it also only makes sense if the Italian giants don’t plan on using him at all in December.
Although Juventus are blessed with a lot of quality throughout their squad, it’s unlikely they’re that naive to give away talent like it’s nothing.
