Manchester United will reportedly face competition from Inter Milan for the signature of Thomas Muller in January, according to reports from Germany.
The striker is open to leaving the Allianz Arena in the winter window after being reduced to just three Bundesliga starts all season.
It is claimed that Man United have made enquiries regarding the availability of Muller as they target a new striker in January.
According to German media outlet Kicker, Inter will also place emphasis on signing Muller, with the San Siro club under threat of losing striker Lautaro Martinez to Barcelona.
United desperately need a striker after somehow dispensing with and failing to replace Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez in the summer window.
The club has been primarily linked with Mario Mandzukic, who is said to be available in January for around £10m.
