It’s safe to say Manchester United prospect Mason Greenwood has impressed fans, particularly after netting against Partizan Belgrade in the 3-0 victory.
The sensational academy product opened the scoring for his side to make things comfortable, helping the team secure qualification into the next round of the Europa League.
Greenwood has consistently drawn comparison to Robin van Persie with fans and sometimes even neutrals seeing the similarities.
The great Dutchman was known for being prolific but also for his composure and ability to score crucial goals.
Greenwood’s style of finishing is also similar in the way he dragged his shot to fool the Partizan goalkeeper with fans rightfully feeling as though they’ve seen that skill before.
Mason Greenwood has averaged a goal every 106 minutes in the Europa League this season.

While Marcus Rashford needed multiple chances to net his effort, Greenwood only needed one to convert and it hardly surprised fans either who almost immediately anticipated the ball would end up in the net.
Hopefully the talented teenager can continue his development as there have been false dawns in the past in terms of academy prospects.
However, it’s also safe to say Greenwood’s current environment is perfect for him to enjoy success as he has a manager who believes in him and he features fairly regularly in the first-team.
