Fred puts in best performance in Manchester United career yet vs Brighton

by Marwan Harraz

Manchester United star Fred will rightfully be feeling 10-foot tall after his convincing display vs Brighton in the 3-1 victory.

The tenacious Brazilian has gone from strength to strength and there’s a feeling he could still go up another gear if he keeps up his form.

Fred previously struggled to make an impact at United but Paul Pogba’s injury this season has been a blessing in disguise for him personally.

The former Shakhtar Donetsk man has taken advantage of the talented Frenchman’s absence and has formed a solid partnership alongside Scott McTominay in midfield.

Such has been his form that fans have called for Pogba to be pushed into the attacking-midfield position instead of being shackled in a deeper position.

His stats seem to suggest a player capable of being an all-round midfielder which is probably why both Manchester sides were chasing his signature in the first place.

Fans are still a little weary to out-right praise him just yet but there have definitely been plenty of little positive notes.

There will definitely be tougher opposition but his performances in these games will hopefully given him enough confidence to perform in the bigger matches.

Fred couldn’t have stood up at a better time so he certainly deserves praise for that at the very least.
