Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has reportedly sent his ‘personal scout’, Simon Wells, to closely monitor Red Bull Salzburg striker Erling Braut Haaland.
The 19-year-old has erupted onto the global scene after scoring 26 goals in all competitions since August, including seven in the Champions League.
Reports have suggested that Man United are leading the race to sign Haaland in next summer’s transfer window.
According to The Athletic, Solskjaer has sent his personal scout to watch Haaland closely ahead of the club potentially making a bid next summer.

It is claimed that Salzburg will sanction Haaland’s departure next summer for a fee of £85m.
Fabrizio Romano claimed earlier this season that 20 clubs, including United and Juventus, were monitoring the Norwegian, who was given his debut at Molde by none other than Solskjaer himself. Barcelona have also been linked with the player.
One thing seems pretty certain: Haaland will not be playing in Austria next season.
