Manchester United fans were rightfully pleased with Mason Greenwood following his goalscoring display vs an initially stubborn AZ Alkmaar.
The Dutch side were impressive in the first-half, even outplaying the home side and appearing to be on their way to a win.
Whatever was said at half-time worked with United turning their performance around and Greenwood was central to the improved show.
The academy product has thoroughly impressed in cameo appearances for his club and showed just how clinical he is against Alkmaar.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has repeatedly said just how efficient Greenwood is with his finishing and that was definitely on show as he converted two efforts brilliantly despite them being just half-chances.
Mason Greenwood’s a little bit good.

The fact that Greenwood is ambipedal will always be an advantage in his game. He can shift the ball equally to either side which, if he masters the mental game, can become a real weapon.
A wonderful talent to have.

It’s actually scary how similar Mason Greenwood is to Robin Van Persie.
Special, special talent. pic.twitter.com/VkBsADMd7j

The teenager is seriously knocking on the door for more regular starts and it won’t be long before fans are seeing him consistently.
Solskjaer will probably not start the young Englishman against Everton but should United find themselves in need of inspiration, it’s likely he’ll turn to the player.
