David de Gea 6 – Fair performance from Dave tonight, one or two great saves. The goal conceded was hardly his fault so it’s a shame he didn’t get the clean sheet tonight (posted by JoeGosh)
Aaron Wan-Bissaka 6 – Neither good nor bad. Was effective in keeping their attacking play quiet (posted by Prim3Tim3)
Victor Lindelof 7.5 – Arguably the better CB tonight. Played a superb ball over the entire pitch that ultimately resulted in the penalty. United need him to deliver consistently to bring in those elusive clean sheets (posted by Mith2001)
Harry Maguire 7.5 – Great performance from him, made a few mistakes, otherwise he would’ve had the perfect game (posted by Cal)
Alex Telles 9 – Created our first two goals, throwing himself into everything (posted by Vociferous Davey)
Fred 7 – Great passing, didn’t do too bad (posted by UtdXnte)
Donny van de Beek 8 – Incredibly composed performance from a rare start. He dictated the play with the triangles, backheels and one touch passes. He provided impetus and creativity. He badly missed Bruno in the 2nd half (posted by Mith2001)
Marcus Rashford 8 – Probably the best offside goals you’re ever going to see. Shame it was ruled for offside because that was sensational. Good penalty kick tonight and a good performance all round before his substitution (posted by JoeGosh)
Bruno Fernandes 9.5 – He’s the talisman of the team. Game completely changed when he came off, and for the worse. Could’ve had a hatty but he gifted the penalty away to Rashy (posted by Cal)
Anthony Martial 4.5 – Didn’t do too much today, probably could’ve offered a lot more (posted by UtdxNte)
Edinson Cavani 6.5 Looked good as the focal point. Had a few opportunities to cross or shoot but his footwork was awful (posted by Prim3Tim3)
Substitutes
Axel Tuanzebe 7 – Good substitute, fast, and read the game very well. (posted by Cal)
Mason Greenwood 6.5 – A bit selfish at times but finally did the right thing and set up James for the final goal. Looks desperate for a goal (posted by Prim3Tim3)
Brandon Williams 6 – Did nothing wrong and put in a nice cross towards the end. Looks more comfortable in that RB role) (posted by Prim3Tim3)
Dan James 8 – Making good runs into the box, well taken goal (posted by Vociferous Davey).
