Manchester United break records en-route to comeback win over Southampton

Manchester United managed to secure a superb comeback victory vs Southampton on Sunday afternoon and they did so by breaking records.

Edinson Cavani was instrumental in the win, scoring two goals and assisting another in the sensational 3-2 win.

United were trailing 2-0 at half-time and the experienced Uruguayan managed to do all that damage in just 45 minutes as he was only brought on for the second half.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was definitely pleased with the three points and the fight in his players to force a win from seemingly nowhere.

The Red Devils’ form has improved as the season has gone on but supporters are only cautiously optimistic as a disaster or poor performance always seems to be around the corner.

It’s been well documented how brilliant Manchester United’s away form has been this season but many are hoping to see an improvement on the home front.

Solskjaer’s men take on PSG at home next and the hope will be they can get some form of a result in order to secure qualification out of the group stages of the Champions League.

United have so far enjoyed their return to Europe’s top cup competition but poor results vs PSG and RB Leipzig could threaten to end all the positivity.
