Mason Greenwood nets record-equalling goal for Manchester United vs West Ham

by Marwan Harraz

Manchester United star Mason Greenwood has hit an admirable record as he helped his side overcome West Ham on Saturday night.

The young Englishman got a full run out vs David Moyes’ men and he hinted at a return to form by netting a brilliant effort.

United were forced to do things the hard way after they fell behind to West Ham but they eventually managed to grab all three points.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men ran out 3-1 winners thanks to goals from Paul Pogba, Greenwood and Marcus Rashford.

The sensational teenager’s goal was especially important as it was the Red Devil’s second and was scored soon after Pogba’s, completing a quick turnaround.

Greenwood’s hit the first real bump in his career this season after some questionable circumstances with the international team so his goal vs West Ham would do wonders for his confidence.

What was also impressive was how the talented Englishman was still effective in leading the line for Manchester United after Edinson Cavani was hauled off at half-time.

Solskjaer decided to take Donny van de Beek and the experienced Uruguayan off at the break to inspire his men as they went in at 1-0 down.

Greenwood’s future is expected to be in the striker position so the sooner he’s able to make that transition the better but wherever he plays, he’s certainly made a mark.

Edinson Cavani has made quite an impact since his deadline day arrival at Old Trafford, but how much do you know about our other South American players, past and present? Take our quiz below to find out!
