Manchester United star Paul Pogba was in fine form vs West Ham and the statistics suggest he was better than some may have given him credit for.
The talented Frenchman was in the starting XI for the first time in recent fixtures and it’s safe to say he impressed.
After all, Pogba’s fine long-range effort was what equalised the match for United and sent them well on their way to securing a crucial comeback victory.
However, the statistics show he wasn’t all just about goalscoring and put in the type of performance that will please Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Given how deep Pogba plays for United now, some of the numbers below are very encouraging and could be the start of him regularly maintaining a place in the starting eleven once more.
Paul Pogba vs West Ham United:
114 touches
85 passes completed (87%)
— 37 forward passes completed (80%)
10 recoveries
8 long passes completed
5 duels won
4 clearances made

The world-class midfielder has always had his fair share of critics but if he can find his feet again then he’d be well on his way to shut some of them up.
Pogba’s future still remains uncertain despite plenty of rumours surrounding a new contract and his otherwise poor form wouldn’t have convinced Manchester United to invest in him once again.
However, the clash vs West Ham could be the start of something special and the hope is the former Juventus man can prove he has a role to play in Solskjaer’s new side.
