Marcus Rashford hopes to be at Manchester United for a long time

by Marwan Harraz

Manchester United star Marcus Rashford has quelled any rumours over his long-term future by admitting to a desire to remain at the club for as long as possible.

The young Englishman has put in some remarkable numbers this campaign, notching 10 goals and five assists in 18 appearances with perhaps only Bruno Fernandes putting in better performances.

Rashford’s minutes played actually makes it even more impressive as he’s done so in roughly 14 matches worth of minutes.

There was actually a point in the versatile attacker’s career where he was linked with a move to Barcelona and it appeared as though the interest was genuine at the time.

Now though there are no concerns over his future but he has come forward to ensure there isn’t even a hint of a doubt over where he wants to play.

According to Sky Sports, Rashford said: “For me, I never look beyond Manchester United. As a kid I’ve never looked beyond Manchester United in my mind, it wouldn’t sit right for me to be pulling on another shirt.

“I just want to do the best I can for the club whilst I’m here, so hopefully I’m here for the long term.”

One of the biggest pros of having an academy prospect become a first-team star is essentially what fans are seeing with Rashford.

He’s consistently ready to give his all for the club and is not seeking to depart no matter the circumstances.

When there’s such full blooded commitment from a player, it makes everything that goes on on the pitch that much easier to deal with.
